Counselling & Scholarship Department
A Zariya to empowering minds, open hearts, & shaping futures
The Counselling & Scholarship Department serves as a cornerstone for fostering growth across multiple dimensions—academic, emotional, and professional. Beyond supporting learners, the department plays a vital role in shaping an inclusive and nurturing ecosystem that empowers students, educators, and families alike.

Overview
With a strong commitment to accessibility and opportunity, the department facilitates scholarships and financial aid programs, ensuring that education remains within reach for all. It also spearheads career development initiatives, including Individual Career Plans, helping individuals align their academic and professional aspirations with their strengths.
Recognizing that growth extends beyond the classroom, the department actively engages families through parenting sessions that equip them with strategies to support their children’s emotional and academic well-being. Additionally, educators benefit from specialized training and workshops designed to enhance their ability to address the diverse needs of their students.
By bridging academic support with emotional well-being, professional development, and financial accessibility, the department serves as a driving force for positive change. Its holistic approach fosters a culture of lifelong learning, resilience, and empowerment, ensuring that every stakeholder—students, teachers, and families—can thrive within and beyond the academic setting.

Flagship Program
Parenting Program
Only 33% of Indian parents report being aware of their child’s emotional or social development needs
Parenting or child rearing promotes and supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood.
How do we bridge this gap?
Strengthen parent-child bonds through support and understanding
Educate parents on positive discipline, emotional intelligence, and effective communication
Offer a safe space for sharing parenting challenges and peer learning
ICP (Individual Career Plan)
93% of students aged 14–21 in India are aware of only 7 career options
4 out of 5 Indians (80%) looked to change jobs in the year 2022
The Individualized Career Plan (ICP) Programme is designed to provide learners with personalized career guidance based on their skill set, including aptitude, interests, personality, strengths, and weaknesses.
Unlike a linear step-by-step process, ICP modules run in parallel, allowing for a more holistic career exploration journey. At the end of the program, each learner receives a detailed career report tailored to their unique profile.

SEL Program
SEL Program empowers individuals with practical techniques to handle life’s challenges and build stronger relationships.
Participants gain deeper self-awareness and empathy, learning to apply SEL in diverse, real-world situations.
We combine interactive workshops, reflection, and proven strategies to nurture emotional resilience and growth.
Because in today’s world, social-emotional skills are essential for a fulfilled, purpose-driven life.
Learning Disability (LD) Project
Early Identification & Intervention
The Learning Disability (LD) Project was initiated to identify, assess, and support students with learning difficulties through a structured process. The program aims to ensure timely intervention, teacher collaboration, and parental involvement to create an inclusive learning environment.
Through our scholarship program, we connected with a former beneficiary currently pursuing MBBS at Nair Hospital. Leveraging her support, we established contact with the Department Head of Psychiatry, securing dedicated slots for our learners to undergo formal Learning Disability (LD) assessments.

Voices from the Ground

Because of ICP where Counsellors conducted tests such as SWOT Analysis and Aptitude tests, I found out where my interest lies!”
-Khadija (Alumni of JR MPS)

“I thank you on the behalf of Grace Foundation! I used to move around carrying my child , worrying that if I send my child to school and they would hit him. After Sir and Madam from Fazlani Aishabai Trust came, spoke and explained me, only then I realized and now I am enrolling my child in a school.”
